Why
would I use a HANFLO™ Valve instead of the metal
or non-metal valves offered? |
 |
HANFLO Valves
are high performance products, 98% efficient. They are
reliable, easy to use, easy to service. The HANFLO Foot
Valve will not restrict water flow and will maximize
pump performance and ease priming. They are made from
glass fibre-reinforced nylon for strength and durability
and cannot rust or corrode. |

 |
How
do I know what size valve to use? |
 |
You
simply size the valve to your pipe size (1", 1 1/4",
1 1/2" and 2"). You may also work out the flow rate of
your pump (your pump supplier can help you here) then
click on "Which Foot Valve, Which Check Valve" tabs at
the top of this page and use the charts provided. |

|
 |
Do
I have to remove my valve from the line to service? |
 |
No.
Your valve can be left in line for servicing. Click on
the Assembly tab for further instructions. |

|
 |
I
have an existing water line with a 1 1/2" valve
on it and I want to replace the valve with a HANFLO valve.
Do I use the same size valve as my existing one? |
 |
Yes,
you may replace with the same size valve as the existing
valve. Or, you may also visit "Which Foot Valve",
Which Check Valve" tabs at the top of this page
and use the charts to determine the valve size required.
In some situations you may be able to use a smaller HANFLO valve
than your existing non HANFLO valve. |

 |
Why
won't my Valve seal? |
 |
- There
may be something sitting between the diaphragm and
diaphragm seating area. Pull the valve apart and
clean out (replace diaphragm if damaged) as per assembly
instructions.
- Check
to ensure you are using the correct size valve for
your application (See "Which Foot Valve", "Which
Check Valve" tabs).
